BRAND COMMUNICATION 2018


The focus on embracing common man and everyday life is evident from the festival’s brand identity, the ubiquitous, humble, simple crow with words from the famous Malayalam poem ‘Kakka’ by the legendary poet Vyloppilly Sreedhara Menon, etched all over its body. The creative team led by Shaji N Karun, considers the crow as a representative of universalism, freedom, cleanliness, lineage and street smartness. The literary crow is sure to enter every nook and corner of the state of Kerala in the days to come!

“No one can step into the same river twice.” The thought process for our tagline orginated from the momentariness and vastness of Knowledge that makes the journey of acquiring it, a purpose of life itself. Knowledge acquired through education, experience and exposure has to metamorphose the human being and enable one to analayse life events through the prism of Reasoning. This elevates the thought process to attain the level of Enlightenment.

Kerala, the most literate Indian state where reading is in the blood of common man and freedom of expression is sacrosanct, is at the forefront of nurturing a literary eco system that transcends beyond boundaries. Today, the Government of Kerala takes a leap and brings together literary lovers across the globe through an international platform – International Book Fair 2019. The fair which will be held from 8th -17th february 2019 at the Marine Drive grounds, Kochi, Kerala, will be a one of kind platform for international, national and local publishers who wish to reach out to the most well informed audiences with a rich literary lineage.
