K R Meera

Indian author
K R Meera is an Indian writer in Malayalam who was formerly a journalist at Malayala Manorama. She won the Kerala Sahithya Akademi Award in 2009 for her work, Ave Maria. Her novel, Arachaar(2012) is widely regarded as one of the best works of Malayalam literature. It has received many awards including the Kerala Sahithya Akademi Award (2013), Odakuzhal Award(2013), Vayalar Award (2014) and the Kendra Sahitya Akademi Award (2015). It was also shortlisted for the 2016 DSC Prize for South Asian Literature. She has been noted as the screenplay writer of four serials and has written for the film Ore kadal as an associate. The film was a national award winner.
