Madhusudanan Nair

Indian poet
V. Madhusoodanan Nair is an Indian poet who is partly responsible for renewal and populariztion of poetry through recitation to the masses.He was Professor and Head of Department of Malayalam in St. Xavier’s College, Thiruvananathapuram. He is the recipient of Kerala Sahithya Akademy Award, Kunju Pillai Award and K. Balakrishnan Award. His first collection of poems, called “Naranathu Bhranthan” was published in 1992. He knows Malayalam, Hindi, Sanskrit and Tamil and has written and rendered lyrics for three Malayalam films and wrote lyrics for Tharangini and Manorama Music.
